Delivers on promise to preserve, promote Pensacola’s history
It’s a place where culture meets history, minutes from some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. More than 450 years of Pensacola’s history as America’s first multi-year settlement is nestled in Historic Pensacola. The history behind the City of Five Flags is uncovered and preserved through the University of West Florida’s Historic Trust’s collection of artifacts, photographs, art, architecture, tours and living history exhibits–all encompassed within the footprints of the original Spanish and British forts in downtown Pensacola.
The University owns and operates properties in historic downtown Pensacola, including museums and historic homes, as well as Arcadia Mill in Santa Rosa County. Admission is free for UWF students, and each ticket is valid for seven days at Historic Pensacola properties.
